Blair was later killed in a seaplane accident in the 1970's and the aircraft sat for years in Pueto Rico, until it was eventually flown back to the UK. It was purchased by the museum in 1993 and arrived in Florida at the museum in 1994. The aircraft flew to Sarasosta in 1996 as part of the Olympic torch relay for the Atlanta games.
